Saying Goodbye

Saying a final goodbye to a loved one is always hard to do. There is sadness, pain and regrets; but most of all love. I will always be grateful that I was able to share dad's last 12 hours on this earth with him. If there is only one thing that I learned from his passing, it is that the gospel is really true. As we have been taught, there is eternal life; the spirit world is very close, and families are forever!

I agree that being with someone when they are dying is such a spiritual experience. I was glad I was able to be there right before Grandpa died. It was definitely a testimony builder for me! You did a wonderful job at the funeral! Thanks for sharing your great memories.

You have such a strong testimony Annette!!! I've been meaning to email you and thank you for your words at the funeral. It was a reminder to me how important family is. I think it's easy to get off track and forget this, in the crazy world we live in. I'll never forget the feeling I had when you had all of us stand up and remind us that this is what Grandpa gave us, our family. It's an awesome thing!!!!!

It's not about saying goodbye...more like "I love you - see you soon". I am so glad that we have the knowledge that we do...knowing that death is not the end...just a continuation of life.
